Multi-Media project; Sound design section of Reza Baharvand's painting exhibition at Iranshahr Art Gallery - Tehran 2022

The music composed for this exhibition draws inspiration from the tension between construction and destruction that defines Reza Baharvand’s paintings. Through layered textures, fragile sonic structures, and moments of collapse, the composition mirrors the contrast between the seductive foreground objects and the ruined landscapes behind them. Alongside composed material, the piece incorporates recorded sounds and mechanical noises generated by the artist during the process of making the works, integrating the physical act of construction into the sonic fabric. Sound becomes a space where beauty and devastation coexist, constantly forming and dissolving.

Eisegesis :Act II

Sound installation in collaboration with Navid Azimi Sajadi at Pejman Foundation: Kandovan-Tehran 2018

“Eisegesis: Act II” by Navid Azimi Sajadi is part of a three-act multimedia project that explores the concept of ambivalence and the complexity of interpretation. Through a process of familiarization and de-familiarization, the installation invites the viewer to actively “read into” the work rather than extract a fixed meaning from it. Drawing on studies of mythology, cultural history, and biblical literature, the project avoids offering clear symbolic clues, leaving space for multiple interpretations. The installation includes three-dimensional works, a drawing, and a sound piece presented across two floors of Pejman Foundation’s Kandovan building. Sound, light, and spatial arrangements connect material and immaterial elements throughout the exhibition. Together, these components create a layered experience that challenges the viewer’s perception of meaning, time, and form. Audio section technical compose: Omid Baharvand
